This project celebrates both Heinrich Heine and the mother tongue. From the 21st of February, (International Day of the Mother Tongue) you will be able to listen to the poem Lorelei in more than 30 languages, with some brand-new translations specially made for this event.
The translations that have not been made by the readers have been provided by the Heinrich Heine Institute. For any question about these poems, please address them.
The reader of the poem appears in the video. In the case of a new translation, the reader is also the translator. We would like to extend our gratitude to all of them!
Original idea, organization, and coordination: Pamela Villar González of the Institute for Linguistics.
Collection of Audios, Design and Video Editing: Aaron Kassat of the Language Centre
